It was fairly early in the evening, and yet the sun had already begun to dip down into the horizon, sending the world into a peaceful twilight state. Beyond the serene wilds, the city's lights began to sparkle as it slowly became alive. The wilds though, remained light only by the grace of the dying sun. Soon though, the stars and the moon in all their beauty would light the forest in their pale shine. That alone was more than enough for the denizens of this quiet world.
A fairly large, dragon like creature quietly made it's way through the pathways carved out by others before him. He was a strange sight to behold in the eyes of many. The front half of his lithe torso took on the shape of a dragon like creature, with a serpentine head crowned in large horns split in two down the middle. His eyes were two separate colors, his left being a bright, leafy green, while his right was a deep sapphire color. As his body reaches half way down his torso, it becomes more canine in shape, more a kin with a great wolf, up until it reaches his tail. The creature's tail was long and slender, though it was split halfway through much like his horns. His body was covered in long, thick golden and black fur, which covered every part of his hybrid body. The top off the strange creature's appearance, his bore dragonfly wings, to which they too were black and gold to match his body color.
This creature, was of course an Oushaga. One of the few races to be so strangely hybrid in appearance. And this Oushaga in particular was a black sheep amongst his own kind. A "demon" in the eyes of his kin. But, he didn't care. Why should he? Others feared him because of it, which meant he had to deal with fewer fights, which was a blessing considering he was born into a never ending feud. Yes, this Oushaga was an offspring to the pack of Kriotags, mortal enemies to the Seskrits. Alenko Kriotag was name, and being better than those damned Seskrits was his game. He was raised into his hatred though, raised to see the Seskrits as nothing more than a pestilence upon the Oushaga race. Some members of the family he hated more than others, one of them being that thick brute Korumak. Alenko rolled his eyes at the mere thought of the "alpha male". "Alpha male my ass." He thought as he scooped a large rock out of his way, sending it clattering against a tree,
As he thought of the Seskrits, Alenko paused and looked up, his bicolored eyes momentarily sparkling in mischief. He thought of one Seskrit in particular, one who didn't draw his hateful attention to. Mituulia. He had only heard her name spoken once, yet he remembered it like his own. She had tried to give him a false name, much like how he gave her a false one. But, her dear brother Korumak gave her away by speaking her true identity. As far as Alenko knew, she knew not his real name. Which made him chuckle, and yet it brought a small amount of sadness. She was different...this Mituulia. He didn't understand what it was about her though. She was a polar opposite to him, at least he believed so. A "good girl" he thought she was. She was always standing up for her family, doing what was right for them and the like. Alenko though? No, he proved himself to be the little "bad boy" of his family. He only truly cared for a small handful of his siblings, mainly because they actually gave two shits about him. The others? They feared him. Those damned legends about the psiionics probably spook them too much...fearing that he and Callux will bring doom to them all someday. Some days though...Alenko believed them too, which was why he stayed away most of the time.
Alenko sighed and looked up at a high branch on a tree several yards away. He beat his thin yet powerful wings and hovered over to the branch before laying himself down on it. He kept his head raised, scanning over the forest floor. Mituulia. Did she wander here tonight? Or was she with her family? A small part of the male hoped she was here...looking for him, just as he was looking for her. He knew he shouldn't even speak with the female Seskrit...and yet, he couldn't help himself. He prayed for her to arrive, praying to every single god that the Oushagas bore in their damned religion. He just needed to see her again, at the very least hear her voice. Alenko snorted and crossed his front legs, his eyes continuing to scan.
